The municipal stage of the International Children's Drawing Competition 'With My Own Eyes I Saw the Disaster' has concluded
A total of 141 children took part in the creative competition, representing Kindergarten No. 8 “Bodra Smyana”, Kindergarten No. 20 “Radost”, Primary School “Hristo Smirnenski”, Primary School “Stefan Karadzha”, Primary School “Hristo Botev”, Private Primary School “Maria Montessori”, Unified School “Yordan Yovkov”, Secondary School “P. R. Slaveykov”, Secondary School “Lyuben Karavelov”, Secondary School “St. St. Cyril and Methodius”, Secondary School “St. Kliment Ohridski”, PGTOLEP, Art Studio “Tsvetna Magiya”, and the “Palitra” Complex for Social Services for Children with Disabilities – Day Care Center.
A jury chaired by Milena Aldzhabari – Chief Curator at the Dobrich Art Gallery, with members Nesrin Yilmaz – Chief Expert “Education, Youth, Ethnic and Integration Policy”, and Yavor Georgiev – Junior Expert “Information and Technical Services, Defense and Mobilization Training, Disaster and Emergency Protection” at Dobrich Municipality, evaluated the artworks and awarded 19 of them. The selected participants qualify for the regional stage of the competition.
Dobrich Municipality expresses its gratitude to all teachers and parents who encouraged children’s interest in the competition, as well as to the children themselves, who used the means of visual art to present their knowledge about disasters on a global scale, the risks associated with them, and the ways to respond and act.
